Name of the scholarship: HTP ( Intergovernmental Scholarship Program ) Scholarship

Brief about scholarship:

HTP is an Intergovernmental Education Program. In these scholarship programs, the State of Azerbaijan participates in the process of admission and evaluation of students. The Ministry of Education acts as a supervisory body in these scholarships. Because the activities of HTP are within the framework of interstate bilateral agreements.

Scholarship covers:

Covers dormitory, insurance, transportation and salary due to Full Scholarship.

Documents required:

CV (in Russian or Belarusian, maximum 2-3 pages)
Translation-confirmation of the certificate from the general education institution in Russian or Belarusian
copy of the first 3 pages of the passport;
 Health certificate (including HIV certificate)
 Russian-or Belarusian translation-certified certificate or secondary specialization diploma copy;
 Certificate of education issued by the educational institution where you are currently studying
and transcripts / academic transcripts on the most recent dates in Russian or Belarusian
translation-certified copy;
motivation letter (250-500 dictionaries, in Russian or Belarusian);
Certificate or certificate of knowledge of Russian or Belarusian

Name of the scholarship: Copernicus Master in Digital Earth

Brief about scholarship:

 The European “Copernicus Master in Digital Earth” aims at qualifying individuals to lead initiatives, projects and institutions translating Copernicus services into management decisions within a broader Digital Earth vision.Digital Earth is a concept well established since 1998, focusing on the interaction between humans and virtual representations of our world from local to global scales. More recently, this concept has gained traction as a framework for leveraging geospatial technologies for better management of our societies, environments and economies. Quoting the 2009 Beijing DE Declaration: “Digital Earth is an integral part of advanced technologies including: earth observation, geo-information systems, global positioning systems, communication networks, sensor webs, electromagnetic identifiers, virtual reality, grid computation, etc. It is seen as a global strategic contributor to scientific and technological developments, and will be a catalyst in finding solutions to international scientific and societal issues.”The EU Earth Observation Programme Copernicus offers information services based on satellite and in situ acquired geospatial data. Open data access has greatly enhanced the potential for realizing a range of societal benefits, the proposed Joint Master Programme addresses the associated capacity building needs on a graduate level.

General Criteria for Admission

In order to be admitted to the CDE master’s programme, students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a GEOSPATIAL DISCIPLINE or from an equivalent programme at an internationally recognised tertiary educational institution, corresponding to at least 180 ECTS (6 semesters) AND the admission by the CDE consortium of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme.
